The Idaho Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired was located in an old 1920’s five-story, 41,770 sqft, brick building that was in dire need of repair. Existing architectural designs were gutted and renovated, and it was given electrical, fire alarm, and mechanical upgrades. A new boiler system was installed in the basement of the building, which included an exterior chiller. All of the restrooms throughout the building were renovated, remodeled, and upgraded. Historical interior finishes were redone and matched to retain the original architectural value of the structure. Carpeting, millwork, and paint was replaced and installed throughout the building.
