The old Ada County Courthouse, once an old moth-balled, vacant building was upgraded, renovated, and historically restored to provide space for use by the legislative branch of government, during the two years the Capitol building was in construction. The project was delivered on time and on budget. The project consisted of the gut and remodel of existing office spaces, with the renovation and refurbishing of the main hallways, as well as, existing courtrooms, which were converted into the new House and Senate chambers. The existing courtrooms were brought back to their original architectural design, with 18 ft. vaulted ceilings and celestial windows.
